Hearing the ancient tale anew
VYASNA is an original music and visual project where Slavic fantasy, dark fairy-tale imagery, neofolk and cinematic aesthetics meet. It was created not only as a set of songs, but as a world of characters, legends, rituals, forests, rivers, ancient gods and the mist of Nav.
At the center of VYASNA is a contemporary fantasy universe built on folklore imagery and Slavic mythology. Music, videos, visual stories and the series “Shadows of Nav: Koschei” are connected as parts of one path, where every song may become a character’s voice, a premonition, a memory or a sign of fate.
VYASNA does not try to reproduce familiar folk images literally. It gives them a darker, more cinematic and more emotional form, made for the present day.
