In Slavic mythology, the Black Raven is not a symbol of misfortune, but a wise mediator between worlds. He is the guardian of the border between Yav (the world of the living) and Nav (the world of spirits). It was believed that the raven lives for three hundred years, and during this time, he gains the truth hidden from human eyes. He alone is capable of bringing the Water of Life and Death in his beak to heal the wounds of fallen heroes and return their souls to the light.

Our heroine is a guide whose connection with the raven is unbreakable. Her dance is a ritual of memory, and her attire, adorned with a sacred Lunnitsa and a beaded monisto necklace, serves as an amulet on the path into the unknown. When the raven soars into the sky, he 'cleaves the dawn,' opening a portal to those times when people heard the voice of the wind and understood the language of birds.
